Just had to backspace quick out of a fic that wanted to do an undercover-at-a-BDSM-club story and just…

It first states that this club is “predatory,” that its members think “safe, sane, and consensual,” is “kiddie pool stuff,” and goes on to elaborate that many who go there end up agreeing to things they will later regret.

I thought this was the lead-in to how this place was corrupt, and clearly, as a failboaty BDSM safe place, was some nasty front for sex trafficking or sommat.

But no, this was all instead set up for further describing the place in a way that was supposed to make it seem super sexy, edgy, and hardcore.

I’m not into the scene. Not even on the fringe. I’m aware of it, really, and that’s it. But I am pretty sure that is not how BDSM is supposed to be. I am damn sure that not taking “no” for an answer (in the form of a safeword or otherwise) is not remotely sexy or edgy or hot. I am also pretty damn sure that people being “convinced” to do things they don’t actually want to do and will quickly regret agreeing to is not a place where anyone should look to find their sexual thrills.

You might be asking yourself, “What did ‘roos spend the weekend doing?”. If you aren’t asking yourself that questions, that’s fine, I understand. The answer, though, is putting all her kindergarten crafting skills to use and making some Girl!Hawkguy cosplay props.

Top picture is the trick arrowheads: bola, armor-piercing, electric, smoke-bomb, putty and suction. Second is the full fletched arrows.

Second row is quiver, and modded shooting glove.

Third row is the tac-belt rig I put together (man my cat had a field day while I was measuring straps for everything!). Pictured with non-cosplay shirt and pants for constrast purposes.

I used Chandri’s tutorial for arrow making tips (Though I did my own arrowheads) and the pouches/belt was a lot of sewing, but entirely satisfying. I can safely say this cosplay will have enough pockets and pouches for all my necessaries.
