I don’t understand this either. I also wasn’t okay with how that was wrapped up. Although I get that from the standpoint of the show people might not want to have Rose as the Doctors companion forever, with him changing and whatnot, I’d have been perfectly okay.

UGH, ME TOO. I mean, no offense to Handy or whatever, but the way Rose was just pawned off on a knock-off Doctor (same man my ass) never sat well with me at all. To this day I refuse to read any fic with Rose/TenToo. I mean Jesus, people want to bitch that Rose was upset that the Doctor was going to regenerate again, but then they’re like “lol good riddance” when the Doctor pulls a poorly motivated bait-and-switch with his clone and she’s just supposed to be all right with that? UGH. Huge part of why I can’t stand Moffat, too, is that he was quoted as saying something along the lines of”best way to get rid of a clingy girlfriend is to pawn her off on your clone in another universe”. JUST. BULLSHIT. I could’ve been just fine with the Doctor and Rose being together always (there could other companions still, too!) and I really do believe she’d have carried on just perfectly fine with Eleven. I ship Doctor/Rose, not This Incarnation Only/Rose.
